1) What denomination is illuminate?
We are Baptist in Theology and Inter-denominational in our approach. What does this really mean? Being Baptist gives a framework for theology, NOT STRATEGY. We do not condemn people for dress or anything else. We are not the typical “Baptist” church. Simply put, Illuminate is a church that does not focus on denomination. We focus on seeing people’s lives changed in Christ. For more information on our doctrinal beliefs, please click HERE.
2) Is your service traditional or contemporary?
Both! We love the Bible and great Bands! Our music has a wide range of styles from traditional hymns to modern songs all performed live by our worship team.
3) What is appropriate dress for a service?
This one is simple. Please Wear Clothes! We are not a church that judges based upon outward appearance as we care more about the heart of the person rather than the brand of clothing. Please come as you are, however you are.
4) Do you have mid-week services?
We have different groups that meet in homes with a primary focus on fellowship, relationship building and studying the word. If you would like more information please email info@illuminatechurch.com
5) I have never been to church before. Am I welcome?
Definitely! Everyone REALLY is welcome and No perfect people are allowed. You will NEVER be judged and we have no religion tests at the door so come hang out with us this Sunday!
6) If I am church shopping, do you have any advice?
Yes, don’t waste your time visiting Illuminate. Consumer Christianity is killing the mission! Jesus didn’t die for the church so you could take from her. He died for the church so you could be saved and be on mission for Jesus Christ in your Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and all around the world. If you are church shopping, you won’t like illuminate. We are a church that is on mission for Jesus Christ. We have a white hot passion to reach two kinds of people. 1. Those who are saved and want to reach others. 2. Those searching for the truth. If you are born again, you should be producing, not consuming. So if you are looking for a church home where you will be challenged to grow and encourage to help change the world then you found the right place!
